Game made for Themed Horror Game Jam #24. Theme chosen: Movie Night
This project was our first 3D game (ever) made for our second game jam, so it does feel incomplete, buggy, short, boring and whatnot, but it was a lot of fun to learn everything! Feel free to comment and leave your feedback. Criticism is appreciated :D
CONTEXT
A series of recent disappearances left clues pointing to an old, abandoned movie theatre on the outskirts of town. Armed only with your courage, you decided to investigate, breaking into the theater unaware of the terror that awaited you...
YOUR GOAL
Investigate the cinema, then pick up all the projector's parts scattered in the second floor to fix the main projector to flee and save yourself!
TEAM
Programming, audio, game design - NullNotNull
Concept art, 3D modelling, animation - JG-Sabia
DEVELOPER NOTES
This horror game was heavily inspired by the classic Resident Evil, Dino Crisis and Silent Hill games, which led us to adopt tank controls and fixed camera.
The game's main vilain is called "The Director", and is an assassin creature (not a human) that records each and every one of its crimes and presents them to psychos in the abandoned cinema. Do you see it now?
Assets and tools are all credited in-game!
